- Sloyd is a fast AI model generation tool that allows you to create and edit 3D assets with text prompts. It generates models in seconds and supports iterative editing with text, making it easy to modify and re-texture assets in any 3D tool.
Sloyd generated models are GLB, game-optimized, made out of parts, fully annotated with constituent UVs and clean topology. This makes them easy to modify and re-texture in any 3D tool.
Sloyd supports the following types of assets:
* Props
* Buildings
* Weapons
* Vehicles
* Furniture
It does not support avatars or animals yet.
Sloyd combines AI and procedural techniques on top of a proprietary parametric engine, and it takes 3D parts made by human artists and assembles and customizes them with AI. It works best with short, one-sentence commands.
Common use cases for Sloyd include:
* Quick prototyping
* Speeding up production time
* UGC games where players can create and customize their 3D environment
Sloyd works in the editor and at runtime.
To get started, install the Sloyd plugin and access it from the top nav bar. Sloyd is a paid service, and you'll need to subscribe to generate an API key. You can get started with a $15 payment, and further details on prices and credits can be found on the Sloyd website.
You can try Sloyd before you buy by going to the Sloyd website and using the AI promotion and AI editing tools. You can have as many prompts as you want in the web app, and you even get a free export every month.
