MK Edge Detection is a high-quality edge detection shader that combines the creation of lines and edges into a seamless, artist-friendly interface. It uses a unique edge detection model that can handle complex geometry and non-trivial shapes, providing a high-quality stylization of scenes. The shader is designed to provide a reasonable trade-off between performance and visual aesthetics, making it suitable for projects of any scale.

The shader can work with fog in any scene, blending lines and edges based on fog density and color. It also features a fade feature that allows edges and lines to fade in and out, creating smooth transitions. The rendering integrates into the antialiasing of the scene, providing pixel-perfect aligned creation of lines.

The shader has a highly versatile application model, enabling the creation of any type of screen space lines, from clean and crisp to artistically blended ones. It also features a streamlined and intuitive interface, making it easy to use for artists.

The shader was created using a custom shader parser, which may make custom modifications difficult. Post-processing can impact performance on weak devices. The shader has some limitations, including:

* Transparent objects cannot be supported
* Using the Universal Render Pipeline 2D renderer only allows scene color input
* More specific limitations are outlined on the Trello board
* Using Legacy Image Effects, transparent objects may be overwritten by opaque edges
* Using Post Processing Stack v2, only Multi Pass is supported for XR
